Cheap Porno

Last night was The New Pornographers’ first show in Philly in 2 ½ years (Not that I knew who they were back then). From up north they came (Vancouver to be exact) in support of their fantastic sophomore spectacle, Electric Version. The show was only 12 bucks, a welcomed departure from the TLA’s usual high ticket prices. With vocal leads Carl Newman and the captivating Neko Case, The New Pornographers set the stage ablaze with hot rock action. Man, can those two sing, and their voices blend together to form such perfect harmonies. Sorry Liz, I think I have a crush on Neko Case. Both of their albums are worthy of much applause, but they were even better live. Simply amazing.
