Transformers for PS2

Oh man. I have always been a Transformers nut. Admittedly, the original cartoon was really just a half hour long commercial for the toys (which were pretty damn cool), but it still stuck with me. I loved the 1986 Transformers movie… and will even admit to owning the DVD and soundtrack (“You got the touch… YEAH!”). I even got into the newer cartoons when Transformers started its comeback. It’s pretty plain to see why it would comeback too; vehicles that can change into robots are still fucking cool. Perhaps it was just the writing, but the Transformers stuff did have something a bit more special. I mean, that’s why the GoBots didn’t make it. They were lame, and got what they deserved. Canceled.

Now, Atari is coming out with a new Transformers game (nice site too). Since I own the Game Cube, which has next to no redeeming games, I may just have to get a Playstation 2 (rather that go with my original plan of getting the PS3, or even breaking down and getting the PS2 later this year when the latest GTA comes out). The game play seems pretty intense too, which will satisfy the 10-year old in me who just wants to see things exploding all the time. It seems to be a bit more linear than I would like, and it also seems to limit the characters you could play to just a few Autobots. I think the ideal Transformers game would be one like all of the popular PC-based online RPGs. Create you own Transformer, Autobot or Decepticon, then get to interact and fight with others online. Hmmm… come to think of it, even if I could create my own, I would probably just create Kup, easily one of the best Transformers ever. Anyway, geekin’ over and out… or should I say roll out. No I probably shouldn’t.

Stan Bush rocked my prepubescent cock off! Can I say that? Is he going to get in trouble?

I always thought Springer was the shit. I mean, come on, he’s a robot, a futuristic car, a helicopter (not one of those pansy, bulbous ones either) and he has a frickin’ sword?! No contest. No wonder the only female Transformer had a thing for him.

“I’ve got better things to do tonight than die!”

Yeah! Like get laid!

Oh and why did Gobots get cancelled? Remember Ragnarok? What self-respecting 8 year old wants to play with a robot that turns into a rock? Everyone knows that little girls are into guns and Mac trucks. Duh.
