Image Replacement Replacement

Well, old Shaun “I’ve invented a maneuver” Inman is at it again with the release of his revised and revamped IFR (Inman Flash Replacement… yes, a little full of himself) technique. The idea is this: You already know how to lovingly craft your website with valid markup and CSS, you may even already know how to use methods like the… more »

The Way of the Master

Wow. So this is what life after “Growing Pains” is like. Kirk Cameron leads us through “The Way of the Master”. Someone actually threw a good bit of money at this for the Flash work… and obviously for the talent. I apologize in advance to any religious visitors. I will probably end up offending you in some other way later. Thanks… more »

Kill Bill, Volume 2

The second installment of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, doesn’t pick up entirely where we were left off in Volume 1. Instead we are treated to a look behind what happened on that fateful day during the Bride’s wedding. This film has a much different visual feel from the first installment (which lingered mostly around a glitsy and colorful Japan) keeping… more »

Good, the Bad, and the Standard

There is some dissension in the ranks! Should standards pioneering websites not be recognized just because everyone has seen them? Aren’t some of the people you are trying to reach the ones who don’t use standards? They may be unaware still of what possibilities lie before them. Shouldn’t we put our collective good foot forward? The debate continues (scroll down… more »

Philadelphia Film Festival 2004: Part 1

Last night our short film Lunch Break screened as part of the Philadelphia Film Festival in the “Best of the 48 Hour Film Project” (which also included nine other films from the competition). The film went over very well, and we even picked up an award for “Best Editing”, though the thumbs-up for that really goes to Josh Meyers and… more »

Site of the Month at WSA!

It seems the fine folks at the Web Standards Awards have seen fit to bestow me with the March “Site of the Month” Award (also known as the “Golden Star”) for this very site. Last month I was awarded the Silver Star, and must say that I am entirely floored to be recognized among such great company. Perhaps an even… more »

Hellboy

Hellboy has finally made it to the big screen, and I am happy to say, it’s pretty good. The film is brought to life from Mike Mignola’s amazing comic series of the same name, and the film is based on the character’s first story arc, Seed of Destruction. Even though Sony gambled with Guillermo del Toro, the director of those… more »

Fun With A Purpose

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is yet another superb outing from Charlie Kauffman, penman to such personal favorites as Being John Malkovich and Adaptation. Favorably, Eternal Sunshine comes in just as twisted as his predecessors, blending great character and dialogue control while injecting a realistic human element absent from most fare these days. Pair this with Michael Gondry’s fantastic… more »
