CAmm Slamm Films online

Here we are! That didn’t take too long, now did it? The two films we made for CAmm Slamm this past weekend, Night of the Science and Day of the Meth, are both online. Keep in mind, the competition called for one film; we shot two with the idea to surprise the audience during the competition screening by having two seemingly unrelated films intersect. We managed to get the films played (unbeknownst to the event organizers) in near succession for the overlap to be successful. I am happy to say it worked very well. When the second film screened, the air was virtually sucked out of the room. Some of that may be lost on you now, since I imagine most of you are unfamiliar with the format and the competition. When you watch keep in mind that both of these were concepted, written, shot, and edited in 48 hours total. That’s a ridiculously short amount of time to do something even this modest. The only requirement this time was the usage a prop given by the event organizers, namely, a tub of marshmallow Fluff. While most teams went with the Fluff as addictive substance angle or just excessive shots of people eating and/or smearing the foul stuff all over their bodies, we went with the obvious second choice, a Dinoman. Special thanks to Ian and Chris for letting us help out, and to everyone else involved (including Inman’s basement). I am the drug dealer in Day of the Meth, oooo tough. Without further prattle, get comfortable and watch the films.
