It was at a guy’s house that we went to while watching the Mummers Parade. He made this one and several others, including a huge chandelier (which you can see the base of at the bottom of the picture). His entire house has sort of room themes. This one was decked out as an undersea theme, complete with an awesome old diving helmet, stuffed (not edible; mounted) lobsters and gorgeously painted mural walls.
Sadly, no, we were only there for a minute or two. Their house is like a walking through Mark Ryden head. Luckily they are friends of my brother’s, and live about 1 block from where I am about to move, so I am sure I will be there again soon.
This is f**king awesome and way cool, just a fantastic piece of lighting. Must be an enthralling experience walking through this place. BTW I share your inkling for tentacled inky things.…recently drew one myself.
