WER OPEN

Perhaps most perplexing is noticing that this is the second attempt (as evidenced by the trashed sign in the background) and rather than opting for the slightly less wrong “WE R OPEN”, they decided to go with “WER OPEN”.

You could also take the sign to be “Were open” too… as in the past tense. Okay, probably not, I’m a nerd.

This reminds me of a sign I once saw in South Carolina at a road side fruit and veg stall. A large card warned - ‘Be Way Off Dog’. Sign must have worked because everytime I passed it there was nary a dog to be found.

it almost looks like Illinios.…..the trees, and the way the road looks. Maybe its just me, but when I travel from WI to IL, the road changes color (From black to a tan/white). I think its the mix they use in the blacktop.
