I’m sorry there were no photos from the last two days, I left town in a hurry to get to Atlanta for An Event Apart. Please accept this grainy photo of our hefty cats taken by Liz as a peace offering. (and yes, those are the same stairs; post-staples, sanding and finishing)

It must be time for breakfast or something. My cat greets me at the top of the steps every morning. He then proceeds to race me to the bottom of the steps.
It must be a relief to be rid of those staples.
Wow, I bet they could eat a Tender Vittles 6 pack in under a minute.
Are you sure it’s post staples because those guys look like they’re anchored in place

They just look stationary because they are awaiting Liz’s next move with the laser pointer. (yes, I am ashamed that there is one in the house)
What is it with cats and laser pointers? Just how many laser pointers are there in the wild any way? Are squirrels using them to distract the cats?
This seems like a potential last-photo-ever-taken.
PS - Nice job on the stairs.
Laser pointers are great. They not only work on cats, they’re quite effective on fish too.
