Jonas is an awesome name for a cat. Especially if it’s as in My Name Is…

I’m glad you didn’t go with the obvious caption about me picking up the chinese food.

I don’t understand - where does one normally keep cat?

Of course it’s as in “My Name is”. This cat you see here was originally supposed to be a boy. But when I went to Morris Animal Refuge (great place to get an animal, I HIGHLY recommend them) to look for a new kitty they showed me Jonas, named Wishbone at the time. They told me she was really special and needed a really loving home. Now I don’t know why they picked me and asked me to take her, but I can only guess it’s because I look like the crazy old cat lady that I will someday become. Jonas was so special because the fatty had swallowed a chicken bone. She swallowed it whole and it got lodged in her throat. Some kind soul found Jonas and brought her to the Refuge. They performed surgery on her and retrieved the bone. She was pretty weak and had also just been spayed when I first saw her but I fell in love immediately. She was so damn cute and tired and I thought, “even though I want a boy kitty, I will take this girl kitty because she needs a loving home and soon I will be the crazy old cat lady”. So a few days later, after her insides healed up she came home. 3 to 4 months later she was the fattest cat EVER. For those of you that know Jonas will remember how she reached maximum kitty roundness. I got scared of this fact and Jason and I decided to put the fatty on a diet. I am happy to report that she has slimmed down significantly and I barely call her my favorite fatty anymore…that title is moving over to Adeline. Fatty!

Oh and one more total dork thing…I got Jonas just as I met Jason. Now, Marc, my old roommate, and I had decided to name our new cat Jonas long before I met Jason.…so, interestingly, if you rearrange the letters in JONAS, you get JASON. Hehehehehhe, I guess I got a boy afterall!

Yeah, but “Jonas” isn’t an anagram for “Stan,” so…

yeah liz, who is jason? you better hurry up and find a jason.…

poor stan.

Jason is the handyman that affixed really cool latches to the new door in the bedroom. Jason is the handyman who almost put up window insulator last night, but was thwarted by the wrong sized sheets. Stan is that wuss who needs zorthron to get him out of a box.

Finally some distinctions! I’ve been in the dark with this Stan/Jason thing.

There is no more Jason. Zorthron destroyed him. All that’s left is Stan, pretending to be Jason.

I was surfing the web and found your story about “Jonas”, aka “Wish Bone”, who was adopted from the Morris Animal Refuge. I adopted the kitty to you guys and it is nice to know she is doing well and has a great home.
