Very nice photo. This kind of speaker set-up is like something I saw in a dream once. One could convincingly portray the illusion of an entire environment surrounding a blind person, using nothing but sound.

To further Ian’s thoughts, what if the speakers could move on these wires? Then again maybe they wouldn’t need to due to the “surround-sound” technology available now? Simple panning of the sound around might give the same illusion of movement…

It’d be rad if it was one of those blind samurai dudes and we played some track of multiple assailants coming at him simultaneously with a bevy of weapons, only blood on thier minds and he was all, “the back-left speaker #12 has a tweeter that’s out of phase.”
I mean, how rad would that be?
